I have talked with a guy who said that these types of sights sell our info like our IP addresses? Has anyone had any issues about keeping there identity a
secret?

what "types" of sites are you referring to? If you are talking about phone sex op. message boards, I just have to say that I don't think
it's appropriate to be talking to clients about our business message boards. if you are talking about phone sex sites, I suppose it's possible but
I've never heard of it happening. He's probably just trying to freak you out. Of course be careful and take proper precautions but don't believe
what clients tell you LOL

I had a client IP trace once and tell me my city..
and then on the picture I sent him.. he could see the folder that it'd came from somehow. and my PC was named with my real name.. so he got it.. |

This is going to make me sound like a grandma for a few seconds.. BUT..
never, ever, ever give out a personal email to these guys.... We use work emails through our domain at my company... and sometimes if you use outlook and not the web based email... they can find our city or whatever... But often times a lot of newbs bring this on themselves by getting "too involved"... They get a regular who they think "loves" them... and so they give a little information here and there... This may be irrelevant to the topic.. but isn't in terms of keeping privacy private.... Remember these guys are in love with a cartoon charicature you've painted of their perfect stereotype.. even if you tell him a few problems.. in his head.. he's still thinking and hoping for the best.... But <1% of the ones who actually have jobs and are sane.. would want anything to do with a sex worker outside of this... Our clients who could actually afford to take care of you and give you a good life... don't want a sex worker knowing THEIR information as much as they don't want to know yours.. The only guys who troll for this info.. are the psychos to begin with... and some guys make it a game to "break" the PSO vows of silence or whatever.. |

Businesses can't do anything with it and the "spam" type popup ads that do (or used to) send ads to random IP addresses don't need to buy lists of them. They do it a completely different way. Email addresses have some value and could possibly be resold - but with the most recent changes to the SPAM laws, I doubt that anyone sells email lists for blind spamming anymore either. With that said, yes, you should be careful who you provide info to when you respond to job offers. If you've never heard of the company before, post on the forum about it and ask for references. |

If he is snooping into the details of your e-mails, he will always be able to find out where it's coming from. I would have to say the only other way to
send pics to someone like that is thru IM or blogs. You could always create a photo bucket account and send them the link to your pictures.. that would
probably work well. That's insane though- That is a headache! Out of the years I've been doing this, I've had that happen once. Good luck!

But Photobuckets tos does not allow adult. So if you use Photobucket then you can't send nudies etc.
